Torosaurus is discovered in the Lance Formation in Wyoming and North Horn Formation in Utah.
The in-game Hell Creek Formation A combines elements of two dig sites from Wyoming and Utah each: Cloverly Formation in Wyoming (where Acrocanthosaurus is discovered) and Kaiparowits Formation in Utah (where Parasaurolophus is discovered). Acrocanthosaurus, Dilophosaurus, and Ouranosaurus are also misplaced ( Acrocanthosaurus being from the Cloverly Formation in Wyoming, Dilophosaurus hails from the Kayenta Formation in Arizona, and Ouranosaurus is discovered in Elrhaz Formation in Niger), but this is justified in that they're the only ones from their respective times to be included in the game. 
Likewise Parasaurolophus is not found in Hell Creek.
Some of the dinosaurs are in the wrong sites: Tyrannosaurus and Ankylosaurus are found in Hell Creek, not Judith River. Brachiosaurus and Pachycephalosaurus are the only dinosaurs that can be found in two sites. Flaming Cliffs ( Gallimimus, Homalocephale, Velociraptor).

On the PC and on the xbox you can unlock 5 different sites while on the playstation 2 you can only get 3.
